Jo & Jake at Opoutere Farmhouse for a beachside wedding

These two super lovely humans met when they crossed paths when they were 10 at piano recitals & competitions and went into highschool and the school ball together. Then went their seperate ways to Uni. They met again during a uni break and talked ever since, and as they say the rest is history.

She said yes at Opoutere Beach - which brought the significance of having their wedding here.

Inspiration for their wedding was barn, earthy, fairy lights, woodsy, greens with a hint of beach and sophistication. We saved on doing things DIY, such as the signage, second hand and hired as much as possible.

Hints and accents of these 2 were what I absolutely loved the most. Sharing the day on Jo's Dads birthday, her mum sharing a quote from her day that her temperament, was that of - she would always share her lollypop at any instance as a child - to emulate her kind soul. Jake was so very thoughtful in having the stars which were in alignment in the sky as to when they got engaged on their rings box, their beautiful rescue dog Bowie - being as proud as punch - meeting us at sunset - so they could get photos.

These two also did personal vowels with family after their ceremony, just with their nearest and dearest - to hear their personal notes to each other surrounded by a kawakawa plantation - in which was significant throughout their day - on their signage and and invites, a nod to the native which has been present from engagement to wedding.

I type this inf0 8 months post wedding - but these are the things engrained in my brain that make my heart absolutely sing, from weddings.

Unique and special to you.

Hugest congratulations team.
